I posted this in the bugs forum and got nothing back, but noticed that there seems to be no response to most bugs. Is there a process for getting support on this stuff other than these forums? If not, can somebody here assist?
…..
In Lab: Introduction to Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, in Step 5 of Task 2: Configure and test the document library settings, the instructions tell me to log on as user dpark with password Pa$$word. That fails with different error messages.
If I log on (to the domain) with the Log on using dial-up connection check box selected , I get message “There are no connections available to all users. You must logon before dialing.”
If I log on with the same check box cleared, I get message “The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interatively.”
The same problem occurs with user mbankov (step 6 in same task). However, if I log back on as Administrator, I get in fine, just as I did at the start of the lab. However, that does not allow me to complete the lab as written.
Please advise.
