I've been very impressed with all the Windows Live suite aplpications and components.
One thing I am having trouble with is contacts syncronisation. I would love to have the contacts on my Windows Mobile 5 mobile phone fully syncronised with Windows Live contacts. Is there a simple way to do this as I'm struggling to find a solution.
Solutions tried so far:
- Sync WM5 with Outlook Contacts using ActiveSync, then import Outlook contacts into Live account (tried Live Mail Outlook Contacts import and Hotmail CSV import). The bug I've not been able to overcome with this is the Outlook Contacts IM field does not import. Outlook also does not allow me to create a Nickname that I can recognise when logged in to Messenger.
- Sync WM5 with Outlook Contacts using ActiveSync, then import Outlook contacts into Windows Live Mail. I can add IM Address and Nickname here. Followed by Export of CSV, and finally Import back into Outlook. Unfortunatley I then loose my 'First Last' setting for displaying contact names.
Perhaps there is a more direct route that I haven't yet thought of?
