Orphaned outlook.exe Executable after sending invoice from sage RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

recently we upgraded to Sage 2021 using office 2019 home and business 32bit

    office is installed 32bit,

when sage sends an email using the email writer with outlook closed.

it creates the mapi connector the outlook window comes up with the invoice and we can send

    the email

However!  outlook will not open after this since there is an orphaned process running for outlook.exe in taskmgr greyed out with an X on it. this process must be killed manually before outlook will open again.

both Sage and outlook 2019 are set to run as admin.

if we chose webmail in sage then it uses its own connector asks for a password every time which has to be entered but it does work.

Sage is saying the problem is with outlook.  yeah total BS  it is happening on both PCs where Sage2021 and office 2019 are installed.  and was not the case with the previous version of sage

We have the most current version of sage 2021 installed and running windows 10 Build 2004

any advise would be helpful as Sage has no clue why this is happening and is blaming outlook.
