OCS - PBX - Presence/Call Forwarding - Integration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We want to integrate OCS in our IP Centrex System. In general i know how to do this but i have some questions for following szenarios:

    1. OCS user A calls OCS user B and IP Centrex should get the presence state (in this case busy for A,B) for both - how does this work ?
        - does OCS propagate the states to the PBX ?
             - when yes - how ?
             - over CSTA ?
             - or a proprietary protocoll ?
     2. OCS user changes the call forwarding setting - how does the Pbx also gets the information ?
        - does OCS propagate the states to the PBX ?
             - when yes - how ?
             - over CSTA ?
             - or a proprietary protocoll ?
    3. I heard that OCS propagates these information only over a proprietary Microsoft protocoll which is only available with an existing partnership - is this right ?

    Thank you !
    regards,
    Martin

  • Hi,
I am trying to answer your question with limited knowledge on third party Gateways.
OCS can integrate with the following ip gateways listed in this Link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ocs/bb735838.aspx
If you are talking about RCC (Remote call Control) where you want to integrate your PBX, OCS sends SIP/CSTA events to the PBX on Presence and the status.
