We're on CRM 2013 on-premise. We just changed our user security roles so that users can only edit their own notes. Otherwise users could accidentally clicked on other people's notes which triggers a 'Modify' event and the 'Modified By' would be changed to
those users, even though they just miss-clicked it.
However now after the change to only update Notes at user level, people keep getting error message like below when accidentally click on other people's notes. It's really confusing and there is no way for them to get out of the error message aside from exiting
the Regarding Record completely.
Is there a way to prevent users from clicking notes and trigger a modify event in CRM?
