Single sign-on for an IFD application integration? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to configure CRM for IFD, and have it work with our existing web application where a user of our application could click on a CRM link and go directly to our installed Microsoft CRM WITHOUT having to re-authenticate to CRM through forms.  If I store their CRM login info in my application, is there any way to suppress the forms authentication popup through CRM?  (without using windows auth of course...these users are coming through the internet...)

If there is no easily supported way to do this, is it possible to configure/customize the front end of CRM to, say, read a cookie that my application set and use that for login?

    thanks in advance,

  • Hi Stacy,

There's no support way of doing this at this moment. If you go the unsupported route, you will have to modify the login aspx page. Which is not recommended and also defeated the purpose of IFD.

    Hope this helps!
