Replacing my system drive...the quick question RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I want to replace my main drive (320gb) with a 1tb model.  My system contains 3 other drives (4 total) for about 2.5tb.

From what I read, this is my procedure:

    Open up system.

    Replace 320gb with 1tb

    Reboot with DVD in drive

    Choose Upgrade

And sit back....I assume I need to redo any drivers?  That was kind of a pain, but do-able...

And after all that, my server will be back online with everything I dropped in the shared folders?  And the Client PC's will continue without a hiccup?

    TIA

    No, you choose Server Reinstallation.

Yes, everything should work fine once the process is complete.  NOTE:  Server Reinstallation can take a very long time when dealing with that much data (potentially days to reinstall).
