Microsoft Word 2011 Tracking Changes RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a document from a user that can't be sent out without tracked changes being saved within the original document. Even when my user deselects all the tracked changes, saves it, and sends it to someone else, the document opens with all the changes showing. Does anyone know how to have this shut off as the default in Word 2011? I've read in other (non-Microsoft forums) that you cannot, but it was never confirmed.

  • When hiding the tracked changes, that is only done for a particular user and a particular machine. What you should do is accept all changes and turn off the tracking before sending the file.
