Re:Not a valid product key RRS feed

  • Question

I don't have my sticker or my certificate and I can't open any office products I have a trial version(its no use to me I can't use it!), I thought that all computers have power point maybe not the newest version but still the basics (right?)

I am wondering, could I delete all the office products (excel, word, power point,) and then download(or buy) them back from microsoft, (they would give a new key for that one , right?) I have heard that if you have a trail version of office, you can convert it into a full version with out having to buy it , is this true?also would this idea fix my problem?  I have my diagnostic page:

  • Hi Buni,

Full Versions of Office do not, normally, come standard on computers. Computer Manufacturers will often include a Trial version of Office, which (as you have seen) allows you to use it for a limited time, but if you wish to continue using it, you would need to by a Full Version of Office.

You can convert a Trial version to a Full version by buying a retail box at a online or regular store by taking the Product Key (found inside the Retail box), opening one of the Office program (on your computer) and enter the Product Key when Office asks for it.  This will only work if you buy the same version as the trial version on your computer (which is Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003) If you buy a retail copy of Office 2007, that product key will not work in your trail version of Office 2003 and you would need to uninstall 2003 and then install the retail 2007.

    I hope that helps,
