cannot find a network connection RRS feed

  • Hi there just thought I would give vail a go and before I even get to play with it I get an Install error, it says it cant find a network connection.

    I am using a p5n32sli premium MB and have the drivers i also have a 3c905 card in the system, the only option it gives me is to restart the system ]

    Please can some one give me an solution,

  • Not possible as it will not get to that point it stops before that and just gives you the option to reboot. 

     

    I have changed mother board now and all is ok.

  • You might whant to check to see if the 3c905 network card is a 64 bit.

    The network card is  32bit card.

    You will have to get a 64 bit network card i Bellieve.

    Vail will only run on 64 bit machines.

     

    Also try using the internal network on mother board not a add on board.

  • Ok understood its prob only a 32bit card witch makes sence, given that my motherboard is 64bit then how do i get it to install my nics on the mb there is no point during the install process that asks you to install drivers.

     

     

    Is it possible to add 64bit drivers to the ISO so when I install whs it checks for those drivers

  • You can update the drivers after installing vail.

    right click on my computer and do properties,   then device manager.

    Then right click on device you whant to update.

    You should be able to update your driver there.

    You might be able to use the drivers from the motherboard CD,

    or get them off the internet.
