MSCRMAsyncService not starting (17410) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    We are running a CRM 4.0 and the CRM is not working after a power failure.

    The power failure did damage two databases :
      * MSDB
      * ReportServerTempDB

    The SQL Agent was not starting and the CRM Async Service too.

    I did repair the ReportServerTempDB with the emergency mode but it was not working on MSDB.
    So I did regenerate MSDB with C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Install\instmsdb.sql (if there is a way to repair MSDB please let me know).

    Then the SQL Agent is starting now but CRM Async Service still failed with the message :
    MSCRMAsyncService 17410
    Host CRM: failed while starting monitoring asynchronous operations queue. Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: Une exception a été levée par l'initialiseur de type pour 'Microsoft.Crm.CrmKeyManager'. ---> System.NullReferenceException: La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet.

    I did try to repair CRM but it failed on CRMAsyncService.

    Is there a way to have my server working back ? If I install a fresh CRM, can I import the data ?

    Best regards
