I am having the same issues as the other person in this post. I downloaded this tool but the "resolve" button wasn't available to me. Here is the copy of the info:

When I try to do the manual uninstall (MS/kb/928218) in step #1 when I try to delete the .msi file it tells me "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it".
If I continue and get to step 3 d. (Delete the Office12 folder) it tells me the "MSOHEVI.dll file access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use". NOTE: I have full admin rights of my machine running XP Pro.
The only other note I can add is that Office 2007 was originally a trial version and I bought the license and entered the key myself. I did have my computer crash (hard drive pooped out) and I downloaded and reinstalled the trial version and then called MS to get another key.
Any advice.....

Hello Maggie,
Right now the MGA Diag tool shows your Microsoft Office system as genuine. Also after further review of your MGA results I didnt see any other version installed with other error codes. Sometimes there will be a PID Error Code 104 which would be indicative for a trial version installed.
Do you have the software disc or did you download? Recommend to run scan disc and defrag the hard drive. Next I would download the software again in case there was a glitch with previous download and try to re install.
Thank you,
Stephen Holm, MS

When my computer crashed I took it to a MS authorized dealer and they reformatted me a new hard drive and put the trial version of MS Office 2007 back on it and told me when I got it back in my office to just call MS and they could give me a new code to reactiviate it. I say "trial version" but since they sell computers themselves it might have been an OEM trial version. Not sure. Haven't called them because I was trying to avoid having to pay someone to fix this. All I got when I bought the original license for Office was a CD case with the number inside it but no disks. The packaging has a place for a disk but it clearly says that a disk was not included.
I have ran the ck disk and defrag and still no luck. I am having the same issue as the previous person who started this post. I can not uninstall it and it won't reinstall for me either. It just says the installation failed. Other than having my hard drive completely reformatted again, I don't know what else to do. I need Office but I don't want to lose everything again by reformatting.
