CRM Performance with lot of records RRS feed

  • We have Dynamics CRM Online instance.

    Now we have around 2,200,000 records of first custom entity and 25,000 records of second custom entity and two more related custom entities with about 100*25,000 records per entity. Also 24,000 Contacts.

    Soon we expect first number to increase by 200,000; second - by 30,000; 3th & 4th - correspondingly by 100*30,000. Also we are going to generate about 30,000 Invoices every X months. How will it impact the CRM Online performance? Is there something we can/should do to improve the performance?

    At what number of records (overall or per entity) should we begin worry about performance?

  • As it's CRM Online, I don't think you need to worry about it. Any views will return a very focused amount of records, as does loading up individual records. The only time you may get issues is when you're searching the data - Quick Finds and Advanced Finds in particular. But as it's hosted in the cloud, you're using a large system's horsepower to run this, it should be able to cope.
