OCS Mediation server codecs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we successfully connected LCS 2005 to our traditional PBX using a Patton SN4638 gateway; however, it no longer works with OCS 2007. In LCS 2005, the gateway was configured as the next routing hop for all phone URI's; in OCS 2007 it is connected through a mediation server and through Enterprise Voice routing.

Call signaling goes through properly, but the call is terminated by the gateway when picked up (the error looks like "Service or option not implemented, unspecified (415)").

I suspect this might be due to the codec additions/changes in OCS 2007 -- does anyone know if or how the supported codecs on the Mediation Server can be configured?

If it is helpful, I can also upload the SIP logs for both conversations...

    Thanks,

    Alexander

  • Hi Alexander,

AFAIK the supported codecs from the mediation server are: G711 aLaw and G711 ùLaw
