Dependent Lookup in CRM 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have both a Location and a Room entity. I have multiple locations and each location has assigned to it multiple rooms. In a scheduling app. I first Lookup Location and select. When I then go to select the Room the form shows all of the Rooms, not just the ones associated with the selected Location. How do I configure the Room lookup filter to achieve this?

  • CRM doesn't support cascading drop downs out of the box. However, they do have a template you can use to set it up:

  • Hi Gary,

If your lookups are on a standard CRM form you are able to filter one based on the other.

Double click on your room lookup on the form and tick the box for "Only show records where" then Location (<record name>), Location (Room).
