Portfolio Analysis-Resource Role Custom Field RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to be able to select a Custom Field that I have created called "Skill" (that uses a Custom Lookup Table also called Skill) in the "Role Custom Field" dropdown during the resource analysis portion of Portfolio Analysis; however, "Skill" is is not available. How do I make this available in the dropdown for selection.

  • In Project Server 2010 you have to configure the Cube to include your Enterprise Fields

  • Jim,

    Two things you can check.

    • Make sure that the field is a "Resource" entity field
    • The field cannot be a Multi-Value field. One resource gets only one role/skill.

  • Second bullet may be what is wrong (multi-value). We were wanting the ability for a resource to be associated with multiple skills. That is "real life". Is there a work around for that?
