Changing Email Address

Question
-
This might be a stupid question; but how in the world do I change my email address that notifications are sent to? I initially set this profile up using an email address that is no longer valid, but want to receive the emails to a new location.
Help!?
Thanks in advance

Hi Troy,
Are you referring to the "Alert Me" feature within Forums? If so, then you should be able to change your delivery options at http://alerts.live.com

Surely something supposedly as straightforward as changing a password can be resolved via the Microsoft Forums?
I mean it isn't as though I am trying to get some clarity around a licensing dilemma? *shrug*Sunday, November 30, 2008 7:49 PM -

Hey Troy_G, I'm having the same problem as you. As far as I can tell, you have to create a new Windows Live account associated with the e-mail address you wish to be notified at. Which brings us to the next question: Is there any way to change the Windows Live account a Technet Social account is associated with?Friday, December 19, 2008 8:57 PM

Again, is there any way to change the Windows Live account a Technet Social account is associated with? Anyone?

Thanks Husain; your link assisted me greatly. Thank you!
Also; another bump for rgsteele's question :)

Based on the non-response by Microsoft's staff, I'm going to propose that there is no way to change the Windows Live account a Technet Social account is associated, and therefore there is no way to change your email address.
In other words, don't get too attached to your Technet Social account if it's associated with an address that you might lose -- say, your work email address -- because if you change jobs/ISPs/email providers, say goodbye to all your bookmarks, threads, etc...
