Contacts data in OCS RTC database RRS feed

    Hi some users were recently moved between two separate OCS pools and then quickly moved back. Around the same time some users reported that their contact lists in Office communicator were empty.

     

    I suspect that this was caused by the movement between the two pools (the other pool has a separate backend SQL database)

     

    Has anyone else experienced similar issues of missing contact lists; and

     

    Secondly where are the contacts stroed in the SQL backend database ? I would like to compare the databse entries before and ater the moves.

  • Did you do a force move?  If so, contacts are lost.  The contacts are stored in the RTC database.  You can export them with DBIMPEXP.

     

     

    DBIMPEXP /hrxmlfile:c:\userinfo.xml /sqlserverTongue Tiederver\instance

     

     

    Add the /import to the above and will import in the contacts for all users in the xml file homed on that server.
