We have a dell laptop that we've been using for several years. After getting a blue screen, my husband restarted the computer and was taken to a screen that had the message above and the three options (access computer with reduced functionality, type
a different product key, contact dell to help resolve.) I came to this site and ran the diagnostic report, which is pasted below. I also tried the other step-by-step instructions that were pasted here, but couldn't get any of them to work.
For example, because we have no start button, I pasted
%windir%\system32\cmd.exe into a browser window. A window with a black background was supposed to come up, but instead it just took me to a google page that had searched for that term.
The laptop is probably four years old and probably just needs replaced, but we would like to get some more use out of it. Any help is appreciated.
