Genuine Windows Notification issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have run the validation tool and it says the software is genuine, but the notification icon in task bar continues to say that I might be a victim of counterfeit software. I have run it numerous times and still have that annoying icon in taskbar. Below are the results of diagnostic tool. What can I do to get that notification off my computer.

    Please help.

  • Please go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and click Validate Windows - that should resync the WGA Validation files.

Afterward, please click Start, then Run, then type in "WGAtray.exe /b" and click OK, then reboot. That should fix it!
