Possible with Live Mesh? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm sure this isn't implemented at the moment, but does the Live Mesh architecture support allowing two devices, such as a laptop and mobile phone, to sync seamlessly with each other when neither is connected to the internet?  Is this what is meant by "local sync"?

  • Hello,

Live Mesh uses FeedSync underneath the covers to synchronize data across your devices.  You can read an introduction to FeedSync here.  FeedSync allows multi-master topologies, so the scenario you describe works quite well with this architecture.

You're right in that the feature isn't available yet though.  It'll be cool when it is!  :)
