MS CRM 2016 : Connect with MVC page RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to post the request using MVC to do some CRUD operations in MS CRM 2016.

My Webresource from CRM calls the web service, which then opens a URL.

On button click on that URL, it post a request on my MVC page. Its calling my Controllers's Action (HTTPPost).

There this request has XML body which I catch in my Action, parse and based on data parsed, creating the data in MS CRM 2016.

Its just a simple web service call to the url, which is Action of Controller of MVC.

Its not allowing me to bind the data from xml body parsed to the model in this Action. So, no data from XML is getting rendered in the binded default view of this Action.

Can someone help me out in binding the XML parsed data in the view using the Model.

I tried creating object of Model class and assign its public properties with the XML and using this model object in the View as a parameter in order to render the XML data.

But I am unable to do it.

Is this is correct approach to do it.

Kindly help me out in this.

  • Can you please explain what is exact purpose of MVC here? If you can do all the CRUD operations using CRM's WebResourves why you need a MVC page to add data back to CRM?
