Request to MOE fails.....repeatedly. RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Have installed Live Mesh on my two laptops with success. Everything works. Tried installing Mesh to my desktop and am getting an error after identifying my desktop that states"unable to add this device to Live Mesh. Request to MOE failed with return code "0x800706be".

    So what is happening here?

  • FWIW, I uninstalled and reinstalled Live Mesh, and received the same error notice, but with a different return code: 0x80004005

  • I also received request to moe failed with return code "0x80004005" when trying Live Mesh on a computer.  I still can't resolve it.  Can you let me know where/how to submit this bug?  I looked for 'an announcement at the top of the forums' but could not find anything.

    Thanks,
    Aaron

  • Hi Ben

I have now the same problem. Was there any solution to this problem?

I am using MESH on my 3 computers/laptops and suddenly the one laptop came with the error code

Request to MOE failed with return code "0x800706be".

I have tried to disconnect the laptop from the MESH environment and reinstall the MES  program and its works without any problems until I switch on the sync for one of the folders in my MESH.

    Regards
    Rene

  • When  you say that you disconnected and reinstalled, do you mean that you removed the machine from www.mesh.com and uninstalled/reinstalled Live Mesh and reconfigured the sync folders?
It sounds very much like Live Mesh is unable to connect to the folder that it thinks you wish to use as the Sync end point.
The translation of the error is "remote procedure call failed."
