Cannot connect Customer Portal to CRM Online: Organization with Name = crm4orgxxxxx Does Not Exist RRS feed

  • Hi,

     

    when we try to connect from the Customer Portal to CRM Online, we get this error:

    0x80040217

    Organization with Name = crm4orgxxxxx Does Not Exist

    InnerException Type:Microsoft.Crm.CrmConfigObjectNotFoundException ErrorCode: 0x80040217

    What are we doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

  • Make sure you are using the CRM 2011-style of connection string format.  It looks like you are using an EMEA data center.  Here is the format that would be used:

    Url=https://crm-organization-name.crm4.dynamics.com; UserName=your-wlid@hotmail.com; Password=your-wlid-pwd; DeviceID=your-device-name; DevicePassword=your-device-pwd
