I bought my copy of XP Professional of eBay earlier in the year and am now having the Victum of Software Counterfitting problem seen alot on these forums.

I have tried the Product Key Update Tool but that says that my product key is invalid for my system.
The thing is, the product key that is on my COA, does not match the one mentioned above (that ends with 2487J-KWKMF-RPWBY)?
The COA is for Windows XP Professional.
It reads OEM Software in black lettering
It does not have a computer manufactuers name on it
I won't post the full product key, however it is vastly different from the above.
I did not get it in a box, only shrink wrapped with the booklet.
