Re: Problems Activating...

Question

Hello. I just found this post because I am also having problems activating/validating my copy of Windows XP. I purchased my computer with XP already installed in June 2005. I'm now trying to download a Global IME and when I try to validate, the site says "No Office products eligible for balidation were found on this PC."
I ran the diagnostic tool referred to the above post and copied the following:

Are you trying to validate Windows XP operating system or MS Office? This forum is for Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) and not for the actual operating system. If you need assistance for Windows XP please post here http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=442&SiteID=25. Thank you.

Hi Mwlai,
The error message that you received is correct. Global IME is a download for Office and requires a version of Office to be installed on your computer to be Validated a Genuine. But since you do not have any Office products installed, there is no way for WGA to Validate.
(Line 29 of yor Diagnostic Report says "Office Status: 109 N/A". 109 = No Office Installed)
