What Happens on Day "0"??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I didn't realize my copy of Office 2003 was "invalid" or whatever.  It's been counting down for a couple weeks and tomorrow is "day 0".  I'v not had the time to really do anything about it yet.  What happens to all may documents on excell and word tomorrow??? !!  Do I lose everything?  Am I locked out?  Does Microsoft reach into my computer from the internet and destroy or block all my information?

You will continue to get Notifications - and you will be locked out of some of the features of Office - but you will not lose any current work (although there's a good change that you will not be able to modify  what already exists), and will be unable to save some new documents.
You will be able to view but not modify many documents.

You may only have a minor problem - which looks big fro your point of view, but which is unrelated to the true status of your Office installation.
Please download the MGADiag tool from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012
Run the download - then click on Continue to generate the report. Click on the Copy button when it's available, and then paste the results into your reply.
