error to set extension0 as reconfigurable partition (Migrated from community.research.microsoft.com) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I want to build the emips and i follow the tutorial.

I arrive to the step of 'Create a Partial Reconfiguration Project in PlanAhead'

I ceated the project in planehead and when i want to set extension0 as reconfigurable partition i obtain this error : instance 'ec/ext0' is a black box. Black boxes may not be marked as non-reconfigurable partions

Can you help me for this error!

    Thanks in advance

Look at page 60 of the manual.  When you set the extension as a pr partition it should give you the option to set it as a reconfigurable partition and as a blackbox.  If you wish to add a module instance at first rather than a blank configuration you can select the 'Netlist available option' and you will use a dialog to select the netlist.  From the error it appears you are somehow trying to set the blackbox to a nonpr partition which is not what you want to do anyway.  I hope this helps.

One more thing.  You have to have the PR license of  the Xilinx tools to use this flow.  Universities should be able get this at reduced cost or free from Xilinx.  Contact your Xililnx representative.
