  • Question

  • Hi

I have done the following certifications

    1. MCTS: .Net Framework 2.0, Distributed Applications

    2. MCTS: .Net Framework 2.0, Windows® Applications

3.MCTS: .Net Framework 2.0, Web Applications

I was planning to write 70- 549 to get MCPD EA in 2.0 and then upgrade to 3.5. But i came to know that 70 -549 exam is retired

Now if i want to upgrade to 3.5 (MCPDEA) please let me know the path and the exams to be taken

    Thanks Jai

  • Bad news for you: since the PRO exam for 2.0 has been retired, you can no longer achieve the MCPD on version 2.0. Therefore, the Upgrade exam is useless for you.

If you want the MCPD in version 3.5, you will need to take all the required exams for this version: 70-565, 70-505, 70-562, 70-503 and 70-561. The only exam that you don't need to take is 70-536, which you took for version 2.0 but it is still valid for version 3.5.
