I just upgraded to windows 7 and re-installed live mesh. Apart from none of my syncing working, it's seriously caning my cpu, it's always running between 50% an 90% rendering my laptop unusable.
There are various posts about this from about a year ago, none of which seem to offer a solution.
Has anyone come across this recently and found a fix?
Thanks for the reply, The CPU issue seems to have settled down. I renamed my laptop within mesh to the name that it was under Vista and it seems to be Syncing now. Maybe doing this and re-installing mesh sorted it out.
I can only think it was thrashing the CPU whilst trying to Sync the system from scratch. Martin
Okay, just answered your previous post and asked you to reinstall, which you did. When you upgraded, was Live Mesh installed? The CPU choking sure seems to indicate that something is quite wrong with the Live Mesh installation. Have you checked the known issues post for the manual removal instructions? Do we know for sure that Live Mesh is the CPU hog? What do you see in Task Manager? -steve~ Microsoft MVP Windows Live ~ Windows Live OneCare| Live Mesh|MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator ~

Glad to read that it settled down. I'm not sure why the CPU thrashing existed, but at least the sync has now begun to work. -steve~ Microsoft MVP Windows Live ~ Windows Live OneCare| Live Mesh|MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator ~
