Remove From My Forums

Instructions on searching the forums

The pages below give instructions on how to search within the MSDN forums and TechNet. I think their instructions relate to the old forum design my as tests on a few the examples give unconvincing results. For example both pages say "If you want to search for threads which are answered : meta:Search.MSForums.IsAnswered(1)" and "To search for unanswered question use: meta:Search.MSForums.IsAnswered(NOT 1)". Both searches show me identical results, namely 19 answered questions and one proposed on the first page of 20 results out of 819. They also just searched in one forum which I also did not expect.

Are these pages correct and are the new forums expected to support the search expressions listed? If not then it would be useful if someone at Microsoft could add some words of warning to the tops of the pages.

These instructions are for the old forums and no longer work. If you want to help direct efforts to fix the now useless search tool, vote this thread as helpful. At least that is what the powers that be claim - if a suggestion thread gets a lot of votes (who knows what a "lot" is), then they see that as something that is important to us users. If it is important to the users, supposedly they will put that on their backlog of items to correct.

Hi all:

I also have this question:

How can I search how many questions I have answered and marked as an answer from a specific period of time?

Such as I wanna search for all the threads answered by me and marked by others from 2011-01-01 to now?

Can anyone give us a very detail information of "meta" searching information?
