Outlook client on IFD stops working when user password is changed RRS feed

    I have a client who has the Outlook client deployed on their network, using the IFD address to connect to CRM e.g. https://crm.domain.com:444/

    This works fine until the users do a network-mandated password change every 6 weeks, once this happens the Outlook client breaks and they need to re-configure the Outlook client to fix it. On a hunch I got one of the users to go into User Accounts and into the Manage Passwords section, to find the entry for the CRM server and change the password there. This also fixed the problem.

    I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem before, and whether you found an automated solution to be able to resolve it? I can't ask all their users to re-configure CRM or manually change saved passwords every 6 weeks. 

    Any suggestions welcome.
