This only happens in Technet forums.......

Question
-
I know this forum is not for product support.
However since this issue is applicable only when I am posting in TechNet forums and I cannot get a solution in Win 10 TP forum, I figure I'll take a shot here.
My problem:
I cannot post "live" links in TechNet forums.
By 'live" links, I mean links that one can click at and open to the destination.
For years, I use copy/paste links and it works all the time, until 9926 installed, I cannot do so anymore. I have to use Insert hyper link option.
Example :
using copy/paste, I get this...........
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/newthread?category=usingforums&forum=reportabug
using hyper link, I get this.........
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/newthread?category=usingforums&forum=reportabug
*** repeat, this only happens in TechNet forums. Copy/paste works ok in other forums using the same build 9926 ***
Thank you.

same problem in Google Chrome
Have you tried adding a space after the URL? That has been necessary in many circumstances for a while.

Didn't work as I suspected.

Which browser you're using? I have the same problem in Google Chrome, I always use link button now in order to post a link.

Yes, that's a difficult problem of using Google Chrome. You have six extra clicks: highlight click to URL, copy, highlight final text/URL to embed on, click link button, paste in URL to embed, click OK.Ed Price, Azure & Power BI Customer Program Manager (Blog, Small Basic, Wiki Ninjas, Wiki)

No, with the Chrome. I use Chrome and in Chrome the link is no longer working as link when I paste it (it has been for months). I haven't tested in IE, rarely use IE.

Exactly, very inconvenient. I am wondering if forum's team can do anything about it.

Seriously, though, they could force a link like Yammer, Skype, Twitter, and Facebook do.
