Not Passing Office Validation RRS feed

  • I am unable to validate my copy of Office. Can you please tell me what is wrong? Thanks

    First of all, thank you for providing us with the diagnostic output and for posting on our forum.  Next, I'd like to provide a little more information than Carey was able to about what we can tell from the diagnostic information.

     

    1)  Windows XP Home Edition validates as genuine.

    2)  Microsoft Office Professional 2003 is not genuine. 

    3)  Microsoft Office Professional 2007 is genuine.

     

    The reason you are failing validation is because of the non-genuine installation of Office Professional 2003.  The failure code you are seeing is a very specific one.  The product key used to install Office Professional 2003, has been blocked by Microsoft.

     

    The reason for this key block is the key belongs to a large corporation in Washington State and which was leaked outside of their company and is now one of the most widely pirated products key for Office products (which is why the product key is now blocked at their request).

    In order to pass validation, you will need to fix the issue with the Office 2003 installation.  You can do that by the following:

     

    1)  Do you have another product key for Office?  The one that was used to install Office 2003 (they key starts with GWH28-*****-*****-*****-*****), is the blocked key and is not good.  If you have another Office 2003 key, we can help you swap it.

    2)  If you purchased Office 2003 and with this product key, you may be able to qualify for a complimentary copy of Office.  Instructions on how to fill out a counterfeit report are shown on the web page that tells you about your validation failure.


    3)  You can go to the site to re-validate to see all the options available and the complimentary path is there:

    In the meantime, if it's urgent for you to download genuine gated templates, you will have to uninstall Office 2003 Professional and re-validate using the link I put in step #3 above.  This will fix your validation failure issue.

    Please uninstall this copy of Microsoft Office.  Your installed copy of Microsoft Office 2007 is genuine.
