I am not computer savvy. Just had cable wireless router installed today. My desktop is running Win XP and will not connect to the wireless network. I disabled the windows firewall including Norton Security and I still cannot access the wireless network. It is working for my laptop (Vista)but not the desktop(XP). I do not have Linksys in my admin. tools-services to permanently deactivate it. I do not know what programs or boxes to check or uncheck under the windows firewall security settings. I am not sure what else to do. The router is through cable network. The message states "wireless connection firewalled" by what program, if they are disabled?
