Anyone know how to open the hard plastic box the software comes in?

I can't believe I'm even having to ask but I can't figure out how to open the box! If no one can help, I just may take a sledge hammer to the stupid thing!
I've tried pulling on the red tab sticking out of the top, I've tried pushing, pulling, pinching the various tabs in the plastic. Nothing seems inclinded to open it.
And on a related note - if anyone from Micorsoft actually reads these things - what's up with the plastic box anyway? Paper boxes can at least be recycled. This stupid thing is just going to end up in a landfill where it will sit and NOT rot for generations. The electronics industry generates enough waste that can't be recycled without adding to the problem needlessly.

I finally got it opened! Stuipd me, I didn't notice the sealing tape wrapped over the decal and around the top edges of the box! Cut the tape, pull the tab, open the box...

Don't feel stupid. The packaging sure looks cool, but it is not easy to figure out how to open.

I am so happy to know that I am not the only one that actually looked for an answer to this online! I finally got it open with the cuts on my hands as battle scars for that stupid box. Why can't anything ever be simple anymore?!?!?
All I gotta say is Thank Gosh for Google!!!
Oh and by the way.... none of the previous post actually give instructions on how to open the box. I wish I could help you out with that, but I can't. I mangled the box as well as my hands to get it open. just give it your all and hopefully you'll get it!!!

Kaycee14,
Thank you for visiting the Live OneCare program forum. On the top of the box there is sealing tape (clear) wrapped over the Certificate of Authenticity. Cut the tape in the grooves around the top edges of the box. Do it carefully. When the tape is cut, pull the two tabs and open the box. The middle pulls out on a hinge.

Thanks to kaycee14
for the answer.
When I tried to open Microsoft Office 2007, I broke my thumbnail in half, and finally took a hammer to the box to get it opened. What manufacturing engineer designed this ridiclulous box, anyway? And no, I think Microsoft does not monitor these pages at all, or we might actually see some improvements ... which, sadly, we seldom do.
