Student Rockstar Help & Support

Question
-
Hey guys,
I have seen many new members of this contest, trying to create new threads on simple questions, that have already been mentioned on the rockstar site, als most of the questions have already been asked earlier when the first contest was going on, So you guys can do a FIND on the forums for that. But as there are many new members (newbiew), i have no problem with them asking simple questions, its natural that they will ask these questions. But think of this situation, that all new members have different questions, and they keep on creating different threads for their questions. How many threads will be created ? also how will it be managed ? how will people search for it ?
So, I have thought of creating a single thread for all kinds of HELP & SUPPORT ( as the thread name suggests) for the student rockstar questions.
You guys are free to ask any kind of questions related to the rockstar contest here. We will surely try to solve the problem / query as soon as we can.
Also i would like you guys to leave a comment on what do you think about this thread, i mean whether its a good idea, or you are against it. Comments of any kinds are surely welcomed.
So guys.... who is the first one to ask for the helpSaturday, September 15, 2007 5:01 PM

Student rockstar is all about sharing knowledge and competing with peers across the country. This in turn gives you points, points give u rank and rank gives u prizes. You can find how you can earn points from the 'points earn table' in the 'about the contest' section in the rockstar website.
Best of luck. Have a healthy competition.Sunday, September 16, 2007 6:29 PM -
Yes man, the main motive of the contest is to learn and share knowledge.
As contest will go on, you will have to give quizes, attend webinars, will will increase yoru knowledge. Webinars will be given by microsoft professional themselves, so its really a good thing for us to not ignore it. And above all, we get points for these things.
Without points i think many of us wouldn'teven care to do these things, but MS has started a great initiative, and hence for points we do these things, indirectly we are also learning lots of things, and thats what MS wants from us.
If you have any other queries, then let me know
I know my posts are long to read, but when is tart typing i just cant stop myself.Sunday, September 16, 2007 7:38 PM -

are there polls too where we can participate....i cant find any but they were mentioned in the points table....so plzz help..
Monday, September 17, 2007 8:44 PM -
Yes,, I think MS will begin taking a poll soon.. its a good market survey technique... you get to know what the customer want.... also there can be surveys on general stuff or on MS technology...
But i think, they should also allow members to start a poll... MAx, 1 poll a month....Monday, September 17, 2007 11:16 PM -
Although thats a great idea, it creats more questions in my mind. Like which members will modertae the poll, what topics can be mentioned in the poll, etc , etc.
Any suggestions?

Imagine Cup is an internation level competition held my MS. Every year, there is a theme for the competition. Last years theme was ecouraging education. This years theme is helping the natural environment. The competition has sub-competitions, like software development, photography, etc. You can select as per your choice while registering. The contest draws the best student programmers from around the world, and is a great oppurtunity to learn new things. And lets not forget the cool prizes...

The points was awarded for filling up college information in the last contest, and its removed this time. But while you fill up the registration form you can enter the college information, also if you haven't, then you can edit the user profile and put it up there.Wednesday, September 19, 2007 1:44 PM -
