Rendering custom attributes RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have lot of custom attributes for User and Account Entities. I'm trying to access them from the code I'm writing to add users. But the .NET intellisense is not working fro custom attributes. Are there any extra steps I need to take to render them?

  • To get the custom attributes to display through intellisense, you have to set your web reference to the specific organization you are accessing; like this:  http://crmserver:5555/MSCRMServices/2007/crmservice.asmx?uniquename=CRMOrganization

The organization name is the unique name, not the friendly name and it is case sensitive.

  • you need to download crm web service file and then add them web referance locally as well...then use the URL mentioned in the web.config to retrieve and use CRM service...

you can download web service files from Settings --> Customization --> download Web Service Description files in CRM..

Let me know if you need more info on this..
