Developing iOS apps in VS2019 RRS feed

  • Question

  • It's been four years since I used Xamarin and I remember then there were a lot of hoops to go through to compile anything from a Windows machine.  Needed to be a MAC device connected etc.  At that time I decided to just get a MAC and write in Swift and soon I was taken back onto another project.  Always wondered what has changed and gotten easier in Xamarin in four years.

Has Xamarin still basically about the same as far as dev environment?  Where can I catch up to see the current state of development - blog, article, Pluralsight course?

    TIA

    Harry

  • As I see it enough has changed (went to a few sessions at Microsoft this year for a summit) that if you have a pluralsight account stick with the current plans for the year 2019

    Karen,

What are you saying that Plurasight has updated Zamarin training content?

  • Hi Mimosa,

Since this thread is not related to c#, I will move it to where is forum for forum to get support.

The Visual C# forum discusses and asks questions about the C# programming language, IDE, libraries, samples, and tools.

    Best Regards,

    Jack

  • The best place I can find for information on Xamarin is the TechNet Wiki. See this link of related articles:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/tags/xamarin/default.aspx

    For example, this Wiki article:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/36335.xamarin-azure-the-basics-part-1.aspx

Otherwise, a forum related to Visual Studio for Mac (include Xamarin) is here:
