We have a Client running a single AD Domain with MS CRM 4.0 and Exchange 2007. They have just been purchased, and the buyer wants to change their Outlook 2007 to send/receive mail through the Exchange Server(s) on their Domain. (Exchange over HTTP) They
will have a secondary logon for Exchange. They will continue to authenticate in the Domain where CRM resides, at least for now. Question: how and where do we deploy the Router in this new scenario? They are all using the CRM Client for Outlook.john
If all users are using the CRM client for Outlook then the E-mail Router is not required because each user can be configured on their record to use the Outlook client for incoming and outgoing e-mails.
However, I personally like to use the E-mail Router because of the central management that it provides. It is also required if you use mail-enabled queues in CRM.
