Update rollup 9 failed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have UR 7 installed.  When I run the UR 9 I get the following error:

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "lk_timezonerule_timezonedefinitionid".  The conflict occured in database clientname_MSCRM", table "dbo.TimeZoneDefinitionBase", column "TimeZoneDefinitionId".

Any ideas why this is happening, and how to fix it?

  • I've notice this problem with orgs created with UR7 , if it's the same you are missing rows in the TimeZoneDefinitionBase table.

  • Opened a ticket with Microsoft and they confirmed it is an issue as Sean pointed out.  Here is the solution from Microsoft.

Here are the steps to follow:

    1. Backup all of the CRM databases.

    2. Uninstall all Rollups from the CRM Server.

    3. Run the following SQL statement against all the <orgname>_MSCRM databases (they are all currently Revision 2138 as you had verified) Update BuildVersion Set Revision = '3'

    4. Install UR1

    5. Install UR9

I have not yet had time to go through this, so I will let you know how it turns out.

  • We had come across this similar issue and had raised a support case with Microsoft. This issue along with other similar Rollup 9 issues have been resolved in the Rollup 10.

  • That seems to be the case.  So how do I know what is missing and how to replace it?  And why has Microsoft not fixed it?

  • At your own risk , this is what I used. I'm not able to re-test it at this point.

    Use CRMDB;

       INSERT INTO [TimeZoneDefinitionBase]
     (ModifiedOn,TimeZoneCode,OrganizationId,TimeZoneDefinitionId,CreatedOn,Bias,DaylightName,CreatedBy,UserInterfaceName,StandardName,RetiredOrder,ModifiedBy,DeletionStateCode)
    VALUES ( '2009-05-27 00:59:52.473',69,NULL,'89EAA7E1-F8F6-4A05-934A-66C6D3367E3C','2009-05-27 00:59:52.473',NULL,'',NULL,'(GMT-03:00) Buenos Aires','Argentina Standard Time',0,NULL,0)
