Windows 8.1 Appcontainer blocks incoming traffic to our process which makes it fail RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our process communicates with server using httpSendRequestA API. But it fails to receive response in Windows 8.1 machine alone for any user created.

When I install fiddler, i could see the all process getting exempted and it starts receiving response.

I would like to know how do we exclude our process in windows 8.1 from getting blocked as it is done in fiddler?

It works fine for all other operating system.

    Problem Details:

HttpSendRequestA  is called with the context of logged in user. i.e. We get the token for explorer.exe and with that user token impersonation, we are calling httpSendRequestA. It fails to receive response in windows 8.1. When fiddler is opened, it is able to receive the response.
