I installed CRM 4.0 with Rollup 8 to a new implementation. SQL Server is a separate 2008 server as well. I am running into a problem in IIS with security. CRM is installed to the default location under Program Files. I am using Pass Through Authentication with Network Service running the CRMAppPool. When I do a test connection, Pass through does not have access to the physical path for the CRM Website which is under Program Files. I have to add ServerName$ to the security, only program files is grayed out and I can't add any security to it at all even as a domain admin. How do I solve this problem?
This is just the way it is, I haven't seen the access to physical path 'green' ever.
Are you receiving errors when accessing CRM, have you Network Service added the the AD PrivUserGroup group?MSCRM Bing'd - http://bingsoft.wordpress.com
