  • ya i understood thats for the experts !! but what would it be for a normal programmers ..!! I understood that its a language ., but we can also create a application without a single line of Code , right !!! Then what should we call that type of a language ?? is it a pure programming language or an IDE ??

I think your distinction between an IDE and the actual programming language is a bit lax. IDE stands for Integrated Development Environment. It is your development "environment", it has nothing to do with the programming language at all. It helps your development process to make it easier, thats it. You could write VB6 in notepad and still compile it Smile

So, "Is Vb A Programming Language ??"

Indeed it is. VB is a powerful programming language and what makes you think its for experts only? After all its "Beginners All Purpose Symblic Instruction Code" emphasis on "beginners" Stick out tongue

I personally think VB is an extremely easy programming language. Atleast as far as syntaxes go but then again, all this rating of programming languages are relative and biased. After all, its the logic that matters in the end. Once you are comfortable with one language, you can easily port your skills to literally any language.

I personally started off with VB6 as my first language, then moved on to C++, doubled back to C, again moved on to C++ and now I know over 20 languages but mainly concentrating on the .NET Framework. So in the end, get your fundamentals and principles strong and everything else will follow along.

  • Hi,

If you've gone through the link I've mentioned, you would have not said like this. People do coding in VB and build powerful, scalable applications.
