A good Question.. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I think when MS has finished migrating their forums then probably it would be a good idea to add something like a "good question" link to a specific post.

There are posts which have the same repeated questions over and over again and then there are some posts which are really informative and contain useful information. Many users like me would like to enhance their knowledge in .net technologies but have to go through a huge pile of questions to find out which of them are good, exhaustive and really informative.

The moderators who find any question useful for public may mark a question or the whole post as good so that people visiting the forums may like to see those threads which have good exhaustive information and good questions.

    Just a thought.

Always mark the post that helped you as "Answer". That helps future users to locate answers quickly.

  • You could do this with Tags - just need to get the specific community to agree how to use the tags.

  • That's what Helpful is suppose to be for.  When 5 or more people have marked it as helpful the whole thread gets marked as helpful then on the forum page you can hit the "Helpful" filter to only see helpful items.

    Hope this is useful.
