My copy of Office is valid but the system says it is not

Question
-
I recently had my data transfered to a new computer when my laptop died. The shop that did the work put a copy of Office 2003 on my drive without asking me. When I used Office I got the invalidation message so I reinstalled the program from my own original, valid disk. Now I still get the invalid message though it will do an Office update. Do I have to uninstal and try again? Here is the data I got from MgaDiag.

Hello chefphillipe,
Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:
OGA Data-->
Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 114 Blocked VLK 2
Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 - 101 Not Activated
OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0

Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1
The report is telling us that you have two installations of Office 2003 on the computer, the old nongenuine Office 2003 Pro and your Office 2003 Standard, which is showing as Not Activated. The old nongenuine Office 2003 Pro has to be cleared out to allow your Genuine Office 2003 Standard to activate and validate.
Please use the Add or Remove Programs applet in Control Panel to uninstall Office 2003 Professional. Restart the computer twice. Then, follow the instructions in this article to activate you installation of Office 2003 Standard: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA011187761033.aspx
Finally, visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button to ensure that your Office 2003 Standard is Genuine.
