80GB big enough for OS Backups RRS feed

    I have a spare 80gb hdd and I was thinking of adding it for backup purposes, but I dont know how WHS backup works, will it back the OS Images to the backup drive or to the extended drive, I frequently have to format some computers due to errors etc, and this seems like a good idea

    Probably if you have several computers a single 80 GB drive will not be sufficient. For more information about backup please read the Home Computer Backup and Restore technical brief.

    Sorry I forgot to mention that I have 2 PCs connected to the server, will the server backup to this aswell, I am unsure how the server backs itself up

    The server doesn't back up itself. It backs up data in the shared folders.

    To get your client PC backups, you will need to use the BDBB addon to dump your backup database
