Workflow and imports not working - think isssue is realated CRM 2011 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,  I correctly create a workflow, activate and all goes well until here. The workflow is set to begin once record (opportunity) is created; however, nothing happens once record is created.  Workflow does not run. In system jobs there is no trace of the workflow - it doesn't say cancelled , waiting etc.  Workflow doesn't even appear in system jobs - no record of it. Does anyone know why workflow is not working? I also have issues importing gets caught in "waiting" status. Think the issues may be related. Has anyone had this issue/ know how to resolve?

  • Have you checked and/or restarted the Asynch process?

    Hope this helps.

  • Yes, restarted Asynch. Asynch seems to be running fine.

  • Hi,

You restart the Microsoft Dynamics asynchronous Service from CRM Server.

  • Did you remember to set the Scope for the correct level? maybe you forget to set it to Organisation.. This is a typical error...

The quick way to check whats going on.. is to open your advanced find and search for systems jobs, which has a specific opportunity record, which you know should have a workflow running.

Remember to search for all system job types...

The reason for this is that if the workflow is triggered, there should be a workflow expansion task... This is ALLWAYS created.. even though your async service is down.

So if there is an expansion task... and the workflow isent created.. then its your async service...

If there is no expansion task.. then its your workflow that has wrong parameters for triggers setup.
