  • Question

  • When accessing pdb symbols such as

    http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/wntdll.pdb/55DD471EC790617D75FB1DC5F4075EB91/wntdll.pdb
    http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/notepad.pdb/084F38CE4F1BEEF73CE20121BE5901DC1/notepad.pdb

It seems this issue is not caused by my network.

    PDB: using PDBIDA provider

    PDB: downloading http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/wntdll.pdb/55DD471EC790617D75FB1DC5F4075EB91/wntdll.pdb => \\LocalServer\MS Symbols\wntdll.pdb\55DD471EC790617D75FB1DC5F4075EB91\wntdll.pdb

PDB: HTTP error: A connection with the server could not be established

Would you please help solve this?

    Regards

  • Hi,

I used both windbg and IDA pro and also symchk.

    Symchk

    R:\>"A:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Debuggers\x86\symchk.exe" %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\gdi32.dll /s "SRV*https://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols"

Accessing http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/notepad.pdb/084F38CE4F1BEEF73CE20121BE5901DC1/notepad.pdb directly in MSEdge browser will resut in "vsblobprodscussu5shard9.blob.core.windows.net closed the connection" for me.

  • Hi

Finally got the clue, *.blob.core.windows.net is blocked in my region.

I added it to my VPN list and problem solved.

Thanks a lot for the support.

  • Hi I'm only debugging with various tools like Visual Studio, windbg and IDA pro.

They all require symbols from the store.

It finally turned out to be a network issue. *.blob.core.windows.net is blocked in my region.

I solved it by configuring a VPN.

    Thank you all!
