Problem: SSRS Reports with Stored Procedures and the SSRS Data Connector RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We have come accross a bug when using a SSRS report with a stored procedure populating the dataset and the SSRS data connector is installed.

When running the report from CRM we get an error

"Cannot find stored procedure '' "

We have found that the data connector doesn't pick up the stored procedure name in the report and run it correctly.

There is a work around, by calling the stored procedure as  normal query via exec 'storedprocedurename @param1 @param2' etc

This now works but when specifying the stored procedure as a stored procedure, as you should, the reports it fails.

If Reporting Server and CRM are on the same server and the ssrs data connector is not used, the report runs fine

  • Hi Brad

That is very interesting as we have quiet a large number of reports that run using stored procedures as the data sources and have no problems with them at all in either CRM 3.0 or CRM 4.0

We run CRM and SRS on differnent machines using the data connector.......
